“One day, I’m going to write a book called Functional Nihilism for the 21st century”, Jay told Johnny one night after a couple of beers. ” It’s going to be a book that calls out the “So-Called” Nihilist of our time. If everything is truly for nothing, than maybe you should just give that one thing you’ve always wanted a fucking shot, because what would it matter anyway?”
Instantly, Johnny felt a moment of eureka shoot through his body, or maybe it was the alcohol.
“Man, that’s it! That’s the name for the Podcast that I’ve been looking for!”
So while not edgy or committed enough to be considered Niche Nihilist, the two set out to use the inside joke as a premise for a podcast they felt much lacking in today’s society.
Using reason and wit to examine and tear apart fallacies on both sides, the two have decided to examine every subject of interest in these polarized times to hopefully find some common rationality we can all agree on and move forward instead of apart.
